Timber Design Awards – We’re on Point
Abodo’s “Raglan Sleepout” entry was highly commended at this week’s New Zealand Timber Design Awards.
The sleep out was commissioned by owner Marty Verry as a child friendly space – with low toxicity building materials being of utmost importance.
A key feature of the house is the Vulcan natural wood weatherboards. Vulcan is a beautiful locally grown alternative to imported Western Red Cedar, and is extremely stable and durable.
The weatherboards were supplied by Abodo factory coated with a specially formulated Protector plant-based oil finish – with zero VOC’s.

from the design community” explains Abodo’s Technical Director, Ben
