Vulcan® offers a material language that can carry through the whole outdoor room. Made from thermally modified, Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified rapidly renewable timber, its stability and durability make it suited to a wide range of exterior applications. Decking: The Foundation of Outdoor Living
Every outdoor room begins underfoot. Vulcan Decking brings the warmth of real timber to terraces, courtyards and places to gather, creating a natural transition between the home and garden.
Due to Abodo’s unique heat tempering process, Vulcan Decking has a reduced equilibrium moisture content which increases its stability. Treated with a low VOC organic preservative system (OPX) that includes a water repellent, resulting in superior durability and termite resistance.

Screening and Pergolas: Shape Exterior Spaces
An outdoor room expands the living area of a home, creating a functional and vibrant space. Vulcan Screening can define its edges, filter light and create privacy while keeping a connection to the surroundings. Vulcan is a high performance natural exterior timber that won’t warp or cup in extreme temperatures.
Use battens, louvres or façade fins to give an alfresco area its own character, then carry the same timber expression into pergola rafters and verandah details. Vulcan’s lightweight nature and dimensional stability give designers flexibility across these applications.

Vulcan is used here to create outdoor rooms, designed for year-round living with the living area opening onto a large, covered alfresco dining and lounge area.
Three metre solid timber blades are the defining feature in this luxury home, with the cabana ceiling featuring long timber lengths brining continuity to the design.

The walls and ceiling of an outdoor room can be as thoughtfully designed as the spaces indoors. Vulcan Cladding and Panelling bring timber warmth to covered entertaining areas, from feature walls and sheltered ceilings to eaves and soffits.
Continuing Vulcan from the building exterior into these spaces creates a cohesive finish. The result is an alfresco area that feels connected to the home, even as it opens onto the landscape.
A sense of continuity between interior and exterior is created by the continuous use of Vulcan timber, which connects the living room and outdoor patio.
The seemingly floating upper level is taken up by an open plan living, dining and kitchen space, opening through sliding doors onto outdoor rooms on three sides.
