Glosswood and Abodo’s brand collaboration has resulted in two exclusive Vulcan® exterior cladding profiles, inspired by iconic Australian landscapes.
Founded in Western Australia in 2002, Glosswood’s range of architectural timber linings, claddings, and acoustic panels are designed to celebrate the natural texture and colour of native, fast-growing hardwoods. The company places a strong focus on sustainable innovation and carbon conscious materials, with their manufacturing processes honed to reduce environmental impact. This dedication to sustainability made Abodo and Glosswood ideal partners, and led to the design of two new Vulcan Cladding profiles inspired by iconic features in the Australian landscape.
The first of these exclusive Vulcan profiles is Millaa Cladding, an articulated (castellated) profile that produces dynamic texture and depth of shadow across both interior and exterior surfaces, with a linear rhythm that echoes the cascading Millaa Millaa Falls in Queensland. The second, Nulla Cladding, is an extra wide board inspired by the expansiveness of the Nullarbor plains. Its minimalist look allows contemporary architecture to speak volumes, while bringing refinement to the exterior form.
Like all Vulcan products, Nulla and Millaa are created from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified, New Zealand grown Radiata Pine, heat tempered for longevity. They are available from Glosswood in a select range of Abodo’s nourishing, low VOC, protective finishes to match a variety of exterior aesthetics.
These products join Glosswood’s range of high-quality, ethical, and enduring timber solutions, which have become known across Australia as design-led materials of choice for discerning architects, builders, and homeowners.
