A feature fence however, does not need to cost the earth (in both senses of the word). Abodo has made designer fences easily accessible.
Unfortunately fencing is often treated as an afterthought by designers and home owners.
The most common low cost fence system used in New Zealand is made from Copper Chrome Arsenic treated, low grade pine timber, and is set to warp, twist and fail during its lifetime.
What's
worse, at the end of it's life this relatively toxic material must be
disposed of in a lined landfill. Far from ideal.
In a design collaboration with David Trubridge, Abodo is now offering designer paling fences and screens made from beautiful, thermally modified radiata pine. The thermally modified pine, otherwise known as "thermowood" is extremely stable, and free from wood preservatives all together.
Available in two, nature inspired designs - the Nikau and the Maukoro, David Trubridge has created a unique look.
Thanks to the Camo concealed fixing system, palings can be screw fixed firmly in place, without visible screw heads. This allows the DIY rennovation of standard post and rail fences.
In case you don't enjoy painting fences, Abodo has the ability to
supply you the palings pre-coated using a computer controlled factory
coating system - for a high performance, long lasting finish.
Abodo announces a breakthrough that reshapes what’s possible in timber design: Vaaro Fire, an ultra durable, fire compliant timber* - all from one trusted manufacturer.
Glosswood and Abodo’s brand collaboration has resulted in two exclusive Vulcan® exterior cladding profiles, inspired by iconic Australian landscapes.
