Beating the compliance roadblock with Abodo’s Codemark-certified eco timber cladding.
Compliance on a building site can often stifle creativity.
Often new or innovative materials require code compliance - and demonstrating this to your local council can be difficult.
This is because innovative new products are often considered ‘alternative solutions’ under the building code and therefore require a professional appraisal or certification, which can be a lengthy and expensive process.
This was Abodo’s challenge when launching an innovative exterior cladding range.
Exterior cladding is considered a high risk building material application and requires specialist technical knowledge. Abodo’s high performance timber cladding systems have the unique characteristic of being free of chemical preservatives – making compliance an even harder case to argue.
For this reason Abodo took the initiative of seeking CodeMark certification – an unchallengeable assurance of compliance – and an excellent tool for designers and builders to demonstrate code compliance.
Abodo’s Vulcan Cladding systems are all CodeMark certified.
Responding to customer demand for greater fixing depth, builders will get an extra 10mm where they need it most. Replacing the 65mm, the new 75mm Cladding Screw is arriving in September 2026.
Abodo introduces a breakthrough that reshapes what’s possible in timber design: Vaaro Fire, an ultra durable, fire compliant timber* - all from one trusted manufacturer.
Abodo is pleased to announce the appointment of Pentarch Forest Products as its official distributor in Australia, effective 1 July 2026.
Glosswood and Abodo’s brand collaboration has resulted in two exclusive Vulcan® exterior cladding profiles, inspired by iconic Australian landscapes.
